overrated blue sinnoh dog will always be crazy good, it would be bad for the game if they gutted it lmao
attack weight is a must on lucario, it just scales so well no matter what build you're playing, and it's very easy to stack it
weakness policy is extremely good, because it's an all-rounder, that's pretty much it
third item is a bit open, some decent ones:
- muscle band (boosted attack is great)
- focus band (tankrio)
- razor claw (combos well with pup)
- aeos cookie (why is double stacking the meta lol)
- energy amplifier (ehhh)
- buddy barrier (its unite move kinda sucks)
- and float stone (for invade shenanigans)
x speed is great because it cancels the slow from pup, and it has great chasing potential. eject button is decent (i think there is a certain combo with eject), x attack for the damage galore, full heal is ok, but it becomes unstoppable when using pup+ or close combat so it isn't really needed. slow smoke still kinda works, but i wouldn't recommend it in a x speed meta
early game you are simply a monster with two great basic moves and a cracked ability, steadfast, so use that to get those early stacks by meteor mashing and quick attack to secure the aipoms/bunnelbys
here are some good combos:
- level 5: power-up-punch, boosted attack, meteor mash
- level 7: pup, boosted, close combat, pup, boosted
- level 9: pup, boosted, aura cannon, pup, boosted, close combat, pup, boosted
despite having a great kit, aura cannon just sucks, the damage is okish, but it's trash at long distance steals (so don't use it to sit in bush and snipe, never works). it takes a while to charge up so enemies can dodge very easily, so only use it in uncomfortably close range
a good boost emblem loadout for lucario is 6 brown, 4 white, 2 blue and 2 purple, with the following emblems:
machamp, primeape, marowak, nidoking, nidoqueen, kabutops (or poliwrath), pidgeot (or kangaskhan), fearow, tauros, and gyarados
go and be one with the aura
Works Well With
despite the nerfs to these two, lucario x blissey is just too good, even in solo queue
slowbro's high defenses and hp can make it a great lane partner
yes im serious, a good hoopa can constantly heal lucario with hh and magician, even trick can work out
