Guide
Solo lane is normally a fairly difficult role to play, with few viable options to contest the tried and true mons that call the lane their home. With the new addition of Aegislash, I believe we have a new contender.
The early game should be handled much like every other solo top laner, contesting the central corphish and attempting to last hit the enemies (and your own) Aipoms while scoring 6 small goals as quickly (and safely) as possible. Shadow Sneak into a boosted basic attack does a LOT of damage early game, and makes your secure on opposing farm efficient and difficult to deal with. Typically, you will be at level 5 and be a Doublade before Vespiquen spawns, giving you a short CD CC attack that also procs your boosted autos in Shadow Claw. At this point, and until this point, you will not want to initiate fights unless backed by a jungler. This particular build of Aegislash has very limited mobility, so avoiding fights until you become an Aegislash and gain access to Shield Forme is recommended. Once you reach 7 and gain access to Shield Forme and Iron Head, your sustain skyrockets, and now you can start attempting to bully the opposing laner off of base and off of farm to snowball. Upon hitting level 9, you gain your Unite move, which is a fairly thin linear attack that functions as an execute at low health. The primary function I have found for it so far is using the Unite buff to become more formidable, as hitting more evasive enemies with the attack itself isn't always easy. By the time Zapdos spawns, if all has went well, you should be level 13 and have Iron Head+ which helps you to front line for the upcoming engagement. Try to stay in Shield Forme as much as possible, as you are quite frail in Sword Forme. I usually wait until both Shadow Claw and Iron Head are off cool down before using Shadow Claw, so I can quickly transition between Sword and Shield Forme. And always remember, just keep farming. Gotta stay fed so you can do your top lane justice.
