Guide

Pick Bubble first in lane, Substitute first in center/jungle to go over the fence.

Double Team is just an incredible move in general, due to its low cooldown, clones helping deal more damage while farming and during fights, distracting enemies by forcing the highest target priority in the game onto them, and having invincibility frames on startup. It has pretty versatile uses, so as long as you're not feeding or inting, you're probably using it correctly.

Water Shuriken is just broken, it heals so much and does so much damage, so that's why I pick it. You can heal off wild pokemon instead of having to warp to base in a lot of scenarios, giving you more uptime to farm and give vision of the map for your team.

This character's damage when it's not tossing pizzas (shurikens) is all auto attacks, which lower shuriken's cooldown, so you want Muscle Band to raise your attack speed while still offering its great effect and attack bonus.

Scope Lens gives you really nice early-game damage for lane clears, jungle clears, and lane fights, and it gets even better once you reach 15% crit at level 5, and 30% crit at level 9. Since you're using more autos anyways with Muscle Band, and Scope Lens gives you slightly more than a 1/3 chance to crit with your autos, both items together just supplement your damage more than anything else could. And I think that's beautiful.

Buddy Barrier allows you to do more for your team at objective fights, and gives you even more survivability for when you drop into Torrent range and start getting extra attack and movement speed. The extra HP is also really nice when you have the lowest max HP in the game.

All 3 of these items do much more for your early-game than anything else, so I think Froakie is a pretty decent laner with this build, and works anywhere.

Double Team has such a low cooldown, you don't really need extra mobility, so that frees you up to run battle items other than Eject. Since it helps you take final hits in lane easier with Bubble, helps clear jungle faster and is still back up again when you go to gank, can function as a bootleg Energy Amp before you
use your Unite Move, and increases Shuriken healing and damage since both are based on your attack stat, I think X Attack is a fantastic battle item for this build specifically.

Works Well With

Cinderace

Their damage together is incredible, and having two ranged damage carries is better than one.

Wigglytuff

Wigglytuff Sing putting enemies to sleep and dropping their defense makes it much easier to pile shurikens into them, and it frontlines for you.

Mamoswine

Mamoswine soaks up more damage than any other frontline character, its freezes and stuns allow you to aim shurikens much easier, and it can really help supplement you in lane.
