Your job is to stay next to your teammates, heal them and make them faster and more powerful while soaking some of the damage from your enemies. If one your teammates is about to go down, you use your unite move to dash through the enemies to save your ally.
Helping Hand is such a powerful support ability, especially if your team has pokemon that use their basic attacks a lot like Greninja, Cinderace or Garchomp allowing them to move and attack even faster than normal.
