Your main goal with this character should always be to strike a balance between using barriers to disrupt the opponent and hitting opponents into walls with Confusion. Confusion can deal half a Pokémon’s health in a single blow if they hit a will, but it can also be used to defend teammates and keep the opposing team from stealing objectives.
Mime can cover your melee teammates as they’re trying to leave fights through use of Barriers and Confusion, but it can also provide Barriers for your ranged attackers to sit behind while attacking melee Pokémon that simply won’t be able to close the gap. Furthermore, Mime can wall in opponents and team up with a heavy damage partner to finish them.
Mr. Mime has many different functional play-styles, you can even run Guard Swap for supportive play. Guard Swap is an incredible move with great functionality, and yet Barrier is still better, making a phenomenal case for how versatile it is.
