Your goal should always be to stay as far away from the opponent as possible and maintain that distance with use of Sludge Bomb and Solar Beam. This combination of moves allows for you to participate in fights and take out opponents without ever needing to take damage. In the event that your team loses a fight you can rush back to your goal and stop opposing Pokémon from approaching with using your ranged options.
These abilities make Venusaur incredible for its role, but it also functions incredibly for stealing objectives with Solar Beam. Opponents often won’t even be able to see you when you’re in range of a boss.
Works Well With
Gengar benefits greatly from Venusaur’s Sludge Bomb and utilize their status affliction to spam Hex. In the event that this isn’t enough to finish them Venusaur can come in with Solar Beam and Gengar can pull out a Sludge Bomb of its own.
This build was created in the game version of 1.1.1.4. It may contain inaccuracies in the data that is used compared to the current version of 1.12.1.5.
