Crustle are primarily defenders, although they are capable of causing high amounts of rapid damage.

Thanks to their natural bulk, they make a great asset for the damage dealers of a team. Crustle use this bulk to bully Pokémon out of place and nuke squishier Pokémon using their high damage potential.

Dwebble: Dwebble are low health Pokémon who can dish out high damage early game. When Furry Cutter is in play, these Pokémon can shred through opponents early game.

Crustle: If you're looking for the Pokémon with the highest defense stats, you've found them. Although just like a coin, this Pokémon has two sides. They can quickly smash their shells and go on a devastating assault.

Buddy Barrier: With the Buddy Barrier, Crustle are able to make easy make the most of their Ultimate and provides coverage for their team. The added benefits of Weakness Policy and Focus Band can make for a surprising amount of health that allows you to easily outlive opponents who stick around too long.

Focus Band: A Focus Band enables Crustle to maintain certainty when at low health. Combined with the ability Sturdy, this item gives Crustle the maximum benefit from the its defensive bonuses and greatly increases survivability.

Weakness Policy: A Weakness Policy greatly increases Crustles survivability by contributing to a larger health pool. The offensive boost only adds to the already impressive amount of damage potential this Pokémon has. The added damage increase based on damage received also synchronizes well with Rubble Rouser which can melt unprepared opponents who stick around too long.

Slow Smoke: Slow Smoke works well throughout a Crustles entire match cycle. It will assist with dishing out a surprising amount of damage on slowed, unsuspecting opponents. This item pairs well with Shell Smash and allows for emergency escapes and engagements.
