Guide
Early game:
Start Water Gun. (tip, you can hold down R to increase its range and damage, and at max range it can half-health most early game wild pokemon)
Harass with Water Gun until you get low and heal with Slack Off.
Pick Surf, it does more damage and immobilizes enemies for only a 4 second longer cooldown.
Pick Amnesia. Telekinesis is useless in teamfights. It doesn't deal damage and stuns you for as long as the enemy is stunned.
You can time Amnesia to block immobilizing effects like A. Ninetales freeze and another Slowbros Surf to (excuse the pun) turn the tides of battle.
Why do you use the held items chosen?
Slowbro innately stores all the damage he takes as 'blue health' and his health bar gradually decays over a few seconds, meaning if he gets hit with an 1000 damage attack instead it will deal around 300 damage over 3 seconds.
He also recovers this blue health that has yet to take effect if he deals damage to enemy pokemon.
Shell Bell ALSO recovers health upon dealing damage, with a base minimum HP restored + a percentage of your abilities damage + a percentage of your special attack.
Wise glasses increases your total special attack with an added flat special attack bonus, effectively increasing your health recovery from Shell Bell twice.
Focus Band also recovers health upon getting to low HP.
In essence, in a 1v2 or 1v3 scenario (which you win no matter what if ahead) or a 5v5 team-fight where you are tanking damage from 5 pokemon (which you want to be doing) a perfect Slowbro using this build can:
Let himself get to low health,
Use Amnesia to block a key unite move or immobilizing effect,
pop X Attack, (increases special attack to buff Shell Bell)
Use an empowered Surf on 3-5 targets, hitting 3 times, knocking all enemies up 3 times, essentially utilizing the passive healing from Shell Bell 9-15 times, all while healing from Slowbro's own passive and Focus Band, until you get to around 75% HP, chaining Surf and healing again while your team finishes of 5 distracted pokemon trying and failing to knock out one huge Slowbro.
