Guide

I've been trying to get a ribbon with Charizard a couple of days now, I just got my first ribbon with Venu but that isn't important.

This is the build I use for my Charizard when I climb rank.

-Flame Burst-
I use this since I find it deals more damage towards the Xatu in the beginning, plus it goes straight for the pokemon instead of Fire Spin which only places the damage in one spot.

-Flamethrower-
Hitting this move at any wild or opponent pokemon will give you a speed boost for a short while, like Flame Burst. It also has good reach so I can get pokemon further away from me and secure KO's.

-Fire Blast-
It slows the wild and opponent pokemon so if I was ever getting chased I could combo the Flamethrower with Fire Blast to get away quickly and also leaving them slightly damaged. Fire Blast also has a greatly big area of effect.

-Attack Weight-
In early game Charizard is pretty weak so that's why when I have chances, I score as many goals until I get a full stack so in the later half I have that damage boost.

-Scope Lens-
If I get the chance of a crit, it will hit hard especially taking all the other items into play, I want the maximum damage possible so this item would greatly help incase of crits.

-Weakness Policy-
In early game, I will obviously get targeted because of being the jungler, so this is a good option if I want more damage to my Charizard to sweep in early game.

-Full Heal-
Usually theres a lot of CC pokemon that are gonna be in ranked so to prepare I come with a Full Heal to remove any stuns I might encounter.

-When To Use Unite?-
Around when team fights happen, but not directly before Ray shows up since I want my power move to be charged up and ready incase the opponents are grouped up closely.

That is pretty much all! Thanks for reading. :D

Works Well With

Blaziken

I've worked with a couple of Blazikens in my rank matches and all did great when combo-ing with my Charizard! Since my Charizard build is more range than melee, Blaziken is a good substitute if I ever get really low.

Blissey

Speaking of healing, Blissey is just generally the best option for healing. Tanky and a lot of support options, Blissey works well to keep me alive.

Scizor

Another good melee option, only this time Scizor can heal itself depending on the damage output. So give this pokemon a few buffs and then Scizor can leap into battle while Charizard can reach for the pokemon that are far away/running.
