Guide

As Fletchling, your first move should be Acrobatics because I just find it generally does more damage than Peck, and the dash is reliable to catch runners. Just go flying around killing whatever you want, this birb is good in all lanes.

When you evolve into Fletchinder at level 5, take Aerial Ace. Yes, the speed boost from Flame Charge is nice, but the basic attack boost from Aerial Ace is really important for this T-Flame build, as it is kind of centred around basic attacks (see items).

At level 7, you evolve into Talonflame. Take Fly because Brave Bird self damages you, even less so as Brave Bird+ in its defense, but Fly is a great surprise attack against enemies, and it does a lot of damage, which often opens the window for AA to finish them off. You would be a great help fighting Zapdos/Rayquaza, your Gale Wings+Float Stone combo would help you get there fast, and you have a reasonably high damage output. In the endgame, just focus on surprise killing things for Aeos Energy.

Works Well With

Dragapult

Fly and Phantom Force mean double trouble when two hard-hitting allies can't be seen.

Alolan Ninetales

Aurora Veil just works so well with this birb's whole basic attack thing, it would make it even more of a force to be reckoned with.

Buzzwole

A great general cover Pokemon that deals good amounts of damage to enemies while Talonflame is in the air.
